Have the desire to knit stockinette and
try English style knitting – picking up the Larch Cardigan again because I need
a warm sweater in the middle of July. Having a really hard time trying to do
English purling.
Spin
Right Round
I have the need for the speed…of a
power drill and to play with my makeshift Lazy Kate, which caused my wrist to act
up because I wouldn’t stop. Sigh. Lesson learned (again).
Knitting
Finds
It is somewhat themed for two reasons:
first, I got to chatting with Lisa Mutch of Northbound
Knitting on twitter, who is an absolute sweetheart. One thing lead
to another and the centerpiece of this episode’s knitting finds is a review of
her wonderful yarn and fiber.
The day I received the package, Ariane
of Falling Stitches just happened to
release the Tobias knitting pattern, and one of the
skeins of MCN Worsted from Northbound Knitting in Papyrus (second from left) is
just perfect for it.
The other reason is that this is
somewhat in honor of my mom for Mothers Day (albeit belatedly), who was born in
Montreal and a die hard Canadian to the bone.
Another fun Canada-related pattern: O Canada Mittens. Olympic rings
optional.
Correction about the last episode: it’s
not ZigZag Studios, but ZigZag Stitches and she is based in Canada too!
I may have favorited all of the Japanese fabric project bags.

one-half of the Savvy

the clip on the show.
